Steven Hix ’16: Still Going Places

FaceBook  Twitter

Chapter President Steven Hix ’16 never ceases to amaze us. A few months ago we shared Steven’s accomplishments and aspirations in one of our monthly eLetters. We recently decided to check back in with Steven to see what he’s been up to and what his most recent goals are:

How exactly did you spend your summer?

I interned this summer with the U.S. Senate campaign for Governor Ted Strickland here in Ohio. I did a lot of one-on-one work with the Governor to make sure that we were working with our resources as efficiently and effectively as possible. A lot of my focus was on fundraising with Ted, but I also did some communications work for the campaign as well.

What are you up to now?

I'm currently studying for the LSAT as I get ready to apply to law school, though I'm also still taking stock of all of my post-graduate options.

How has Beta Theta Pi helped to make you who you are today?

Beta has definitely enhanced my leadership abilities, even before I became chapter President in January. The opportunity to grow and learn with my brothers over the last few years has been one of the most formative experiences of my life, and I look forward to carrying the fraternity's values into my life after Denison.
